Calculation Duration |
The wave calculation algorithms are performed over a selected time duration from 5 to 30 minutes. Calculations are performed continuously with results updated approximately every 2 to 5 seconds. |
Basis of calculation |
The analysis can also be performed on the real time measurements, or from 60 second lagged non real time measurements. The importance of this latter feature is the improved acceleration integration accuracy achieved from lagged measurements. This is particularly important for long period waves and also for accuracy in wave directional spreading parameter. |
Offset Position |
Calculations can be performed at the sensor location or at an alternative point defined by its X/Y/Z position. This would typically be the case for a large buoy where the sensor position is substantially offset from the buoy centre of gravity. |
Raw Data |
The raw data can be streamed at selected rate to downstream systems. |
